Heading to Electric Picnic this weekend? Whether you're a seasoned festival-goer or this is your very first time, we have some tips to make sure you've got all your bases covered.
1. SPF
Make sure you pack plenty of SPF50 - for your face and body - with the unusually warm weather this year, the last thing you want is to get burned. Grab a bottle of after-sun too, just in case you miss a spot.
2. Allergy season
If you suffer from hayfever, make sure you have stocked up on your anti-histamines & eye drops - you don't want streaming eyes so bad that you can't see your favourite acts on stage.
3. Hydration is key
Very few things are quite as debilitating as dehydration, and it's definitely not something you want to be experiencing while camping. Make sure you consume plenty of water, and it's helpful to stock up on some rehydration sachets like Dioralyte to make sure you're covered for the weekend.
4. The essentials
When you're camping, there are certain things you need to make the experience better. Stock up on things like:
- Baby wipes & anti-bac wipes
- Tissues (toilet paper is always at a minimum)
- Hand sanitiser
- Mini shampoo, conditioner & body wash (there are showers there)
- Deodorant
- Earplugs (so you can at least get a few hours of sleep in your tent)
- Sheet mask to rehydrate your face after the day
- Cotton pads & make up remover
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
5. Footwear fiascos
As far as festival fashion goes, a sensible shoe is rarely a feature. If you absolutely must wear your uncomfortable (but stylish) shoes, pick up some packs of blister plasters to help save your feet.
Pop in to your local CarePlus Pharmacy to pick up these essentials and more ahead of your weekend.
