Erection problems can put a strain on relationships. They can also be a warning sign of a health condition or disease you might not be aware of. That’s why it’s important to act and find a solution for your ED.
Erectile dysfunction is a relatively common condition in which a person cannot get or maintain an erection firm enough for sex. Although ED can affect men of all ages, it's most common in men over the age of 40.
Men can experience symptoms in different ways:
- Some cannot achieve an erection.
- Others may achieve an erection, but it’s not firm enough to have sex.
- Or they may lose the erection before or during sex.
- For some men with ED, it can be difficult to get or keep an erection every time they try to have sex.
- ED is a common medical condition that has nothing to do with masculinity.
The main physical cause of ED is not enough blood flowing into the penis, so a man cannot get and keep an erection when he is sexually excited. This happens because the small blood vessels that supply the penis during an erection become blocked or narrow. Smoking, high cholesterol, and lack of exercise can cause this problem, as can high blood pressure and diabetes. ED can sometimes be an early warning sign of underlying health conditions, even if you feel healthy.
While not all men with ED will have other health problems, it is always best to talk to a pharmacist or see your doctor who can fully assess your health and treat any condition you might have that could be causing ED symptoms.
Sildenafil works by helping to increase the blood flow to the penis to help men get and keep an erection that lasts long enough for sex. It will not give you an instant erection. You need to be sexually aroused for Sildenafil to work.
Sildenafil (Sidena OTC or Viagra Connect®) is proven to help men's confidence to achieve and maintain an erection. Sildenafil will not help you if you do not have ED symptoms.
Sildenafil is quickly absorbed - it takes 30–60 minutes to work ( it may take it up to 4 hours
before sexual activity). Do not take more than 1 tablet a day.
When you take it with a meal that has a lot of fat, like a burger and chips, your body may take longer to absorb Sildenafil.
Who it’s for: Sildenafil is for adult men (over 18 years of age) who have erectile dysfunction (ED).
Who it isn’t for: If you are a woman, a man under 18, or do not have ED, then Sildenafil is not the right treatment for you.
Some medicines can interact with Viagra Connect® and therefore, you will be asked what else you might be taking before pharmacist approval can be given.
Some men will have issues with their health that make Viagra Connect® unsuitable for them. Therefore, you will be asked a few straightforward questions about your health before you can purchase.
